IT Operations Technician

We’re looking for an IT Operations Technician to join our team! In this role, you’ll provide first-line technical support to internal customers, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and ensure the smooth operation of the organization’s technology systems., * Provide technical support to internal customers via the internal ticket system, phone, email, and in-person communication

• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems
• Respond to help desk tickets in a timely and efficient manner using a queue-based system (e.g., JIRA)
• Document and track technical support incidents using a ticketing system
• Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex technical issues
• Monitor and maintain the performance and security of technology systems
• Participate in the patch management process to ensure all systems (including servers) are up to date with the latest security patches and software updates
• Perform basic user management tasks, such as creating and managing user accounts and permissions
• Perform basic systems administration tasks, such as monitoring system logs, backups, and performance metrics
• Perform basic server-side tasks, such as updating software and security patches, monitoring performance, and troubleshooting issues
• Participate in IT projects as needed

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in technical support, IT operations, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of hardware and software systems, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
• Basic knowledge of server-side systems and technologies
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner
• Strong documentation and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with queue-based systems (e.g., JIRA)
• Basic understanding of user management and systems administration principles
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to travel between BPG locations (approximately 25% travel)

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
