Senior QA Automation / Manual Test Engineer

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior QA Automation / Manual Test Engineer to join its Customer Engagement Pega team. This team partners with Customer Operations and Energy Services to support enterprise applications, enhance existing systems, develop new interfaces, and deliver high-quality software solutions.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both automation and manual testing, thrive in Agile and Waterfall environments, and be passionate about delivering reliable, high-quality applications.

Responsibilities

• Drive the software quality assurance lifecycle in Agile and Waterfall environments.
• Collaborate with development and product teams to develop test strategies.
• Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases.
• Create and maintain automated UI and functional test scripts.
• Perform manual testing and validate application functionality.
• Maintain and enhance Continuous Integration (CI) testing processes.
• Review and validate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) results.
• Troubleshoot defects and support issue resolution throughout the testing lifecycle.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) or QA Automation experience.
• Strong experience with both Automation and Manual Testing.
• Experience testing web-based applications.
• Experience with Selenium and/or Playwright.
• API testing experience using Postman or SoapUI.
• Performance testing experience using JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar tools.
• Working knowledge of SQL.
• Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO), JIRA, RCLM, or similar test management tools.
• Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) processes.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting enterprise applications.
• Experience working with Pega applications is a plus.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
