Job description

  • Hands-on development: Build efficient backend systems using Python, Flask/Django, PostgreSQL, and caching solutions such as Memcached.
  • Improve existing systems: Analyze and optimize existing services to enhance performance, stability, and efficiency.
  • Work with modern technologies: Explore and apply new approaches, including GenAI-supported workflows and automation, to improve development processes and system capabilities.
  • Collaborate across teams: You work closely with developers, data scientists, and meteorologists to deliver high-quality, integrated solutions., * Meaningful impact: Work on products with global reach and contribute to tackling climate change.

Requirements

  • 3 - 5 years of professional experience in backend development
  • Strong programming skills in Python
  • Experience with frameworks such as Flask or Django
  • Solid understanding of Linux-based environments
  • Basic to solid database knowledge, ideally PostgreSQL
  • Interest in modern technologies, including AI/GenAI applications
  • Analytical mindset and willingness to learn and grow
  • Experience with geospatial data is a plus
  • Very good English skills; German is a plus

Benefits & conditions

The annual gross salary for this position starts at €40,347.58. Depending on your experience and qualifications, the typical range for this role is €50,000 to €60,000.
