SAS Installation and Migration Services

We are seeking a Senior SAS Platform Engineer to support a large-scale migration of an on-premises SAS 9.4m8 environment to AWS. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing, configuring, administering, and migrating SAS environments across Windows and Linux platforms while ensuring a secure, scalable, and reliable cloud deployment., * Lead the installation and configuration of SAS 9.4m8 on AWS infrastructure.

• Participate in project kickoff, requirements gathering, and migration planning.
• Prepare the Pre-Installation Requirements Document (PIRD).
• Download and configure the SAS 9.4m8 Software Depot and required components.
• Migrate three on-premises SAS server tiers into a new AWS-hosted environment.
• Configure HTTPS/SSL for secure communication across all SAS components.
• Apply required SAS hot fixes and validate the SAS 9.4m8 environment.
• Configure SAS/ACCESS for PC File formats.
• Migrate SAS metadata, users, metadata libraries, and security configurations.
• Migrate file system content, including SAS datasets, Enterprise Guide projects, SAS programs, and source files.
• Update and validate scheduled jobs in the new environment.
• Troubleshoot migration and post-deployment issues and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Complete security and compliance checklists.
• Create technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience with SAS platform administration and migration.
• Strong experience with SAS 9.4, preferably SAS 9.4m8.
• Experience installing, configuring, and administering SAS in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience migrating SAS environments from on-premises infrastructure to AWS.
• Experience with SAS Metadata Server, metadata migration, user administration, and library configuration.
• Working knowledge of Windows and Linux (RHEL) server environments.
• Experience applying SAS hot fixes and performing post-installation validation.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS services such as EC2, IAM, VPC, EBS, and security groups.
• Experience configuring SSL/HTTPS for enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with batch scheduling and automation.
• Experience supporting enterprise cloud migration projects.
