Job description
- We are looking for an experienced COBOL Technical resource to lead the design, development, and maintenance of large-scale mainframe applications., * Must drive development and maintenance using COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2/IMS
- Lead solution design, code reviews, and technical decision-making
- Must understand Agile methodologies and DevOps for mainframe
- Perform complex impact analysis and ensure high-quality delivery
- Mentor and guide developers; enforce coding standards and best practices
- Coordinate with architects, business analysts, QA, and production support teams
- Own end-to-end delivery for assigned modules, including release readiness
- Support production issues, root cause analysis, and performance tuning
- Participate in legacy modernization and mainframe-to-Java/cloud initiatives
- Ensure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory requirements
- Having Assembler experience is an additional advantage
Requirements
- The role requires strong hands-on expertise in COBOL and mainframe technologies, technical leadership capabilities, and the ability to guide teams through legacy enhancement and modernization initiatives.
