Starlink Integration & Test Engineer (Aviation)

As an Integration & Test Engineer supporting our enterprise aviation customers, you will be tasked with owning test software, test equipment, integrated testing of electrical and network systems, and will be a technical resource for fellow engineering, specialist and technician colleagues. You will be responsible for developing, validating and maintaining high-reliability, high-performing enterprise network solutions for Starlink., + Design, activate and operate test hardware and equipment including test software as needed to evaluate component and system performance for various mobility network applications

• Troubleshoot hardware issues real-time, push feedback to correct owners to eliminate repeat issues

• Aid in investigations and root-cause analysis of any non-conformances, and work with responsible engineers to develop test requirements for flight hardware, driving hardware and system design improvements.

• Work with teams across disciplines including electrical, mechanical, and software engineers to conceptualize and develop test systems required to test Starlink hardware

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline

• 1+ years of professional mechanical/electromechanical design, analysis, testing, and/or manufacturing (internships/co-ops and club projects can apply)

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Master’s degree in an engineering discipline

• Experience with integration and testing of propulsion, thermal, electrical, and/or structural systems

• Experience working with composites and integration of avionics systems

• Documentation and configuration management experience

• Experience writing test plans, and procedures and providing go/no-go judgment and rationale

• Experience in a production environment

• Demonstrated engineering intuition, critical thinking, and comfort with ambiguity

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Some travel to our launch sites may be required as needed, up to 25%

• Must be willing to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed, + To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. Level I: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per/year

Level II: $110,000.00 - $135,000.00 per/year

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
