Job description

Serve as primary technical owner for the AtoZ ServiceNow implementation, ensuring platform quality, performance, and scalability.

  • Oversee and manage technical backlog in Jira, including enhancements, bugs, maintenance, and modernization tasks.
  • Review and validate solution architecture, workflows, and technical decisions from vendor development teams.
  • Provide hands-on configuration/development support for troubleshooting and validating platform behavior.
  • Act as main technical point of contact between AtoZ, maintenance, and vendor development teams.
  • Review vendor designs, technical documentation, and solutions to ensure alignment with best practices and program goals.
  • Participate in procurement cycles by evaluating vendor SOW responses and technical proposals.
  • Support agency onboarding with technical expertise on ServiceNow features (notifications, workflows, catalog use, routing).
  • Collaborate with Identity Platform and agency tech teams to ensure successful authentication, attribute flow, and notifications.
  • Translate business priorities into technical execution plans in partnership with the Program Manager.
  • Lead planning for platform upgrades, modernization, and release cycles.
  • Ensure compliance with accessibility, security, and state technology policies and standards.
  • Actively participate in agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Standups, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Prepare technical stories, acceptance criteria, and testing requirements.
  • Maintain technical documentation including diagrams, workflow maps, and configuration details.
  • Recommend and implement improvements for platform stability, performance, and scalability.
  • Stay updated on ServiceNow roadmap and new platform capabilities.

Requirements

5+ years ServiceNow experience (developer, architect, or technical lead).

  • Experience with ServiceNow Public Sector Digital Services (PSDS) modules.
  • Strong knowledge of ServiceNow architecture, configuration, scripting, and best practices.
  • Experience overseeing vendor/external technical teams.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical execution.
  • Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences. Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ServiceNow Notifications, Catalog Items, Flow Designer, Integration Hub.
  • Agile/iterative development experience.
  • Understanding of integrations, identity (SSO, OIDC, SAML), APIs (JSON, REST).
  • Experience in government/public sector environments.
  • Involvement in technical evaluations during procurement.
  • Knowledge of platform upgrade/release management.
  • Experience with cross-system integrations and technical documentation. Location & Work Details:

  • 100% remote, but must be local to Phoenix, AZ and available for in-person interviews.
  • Must be eligible to convert to a full-time employee; no visa sponsorship.
  • Must pass background and drug screening.
