Mainframe Logical Security Engineer

Administer and maintain RACF security environments across IBM z/OS mainframe systems.

• Manage access control, including creating, modifying, and revoking user IDs, groups, resource profiles, datasets, and subsystem permissions.
• Implement and enforce least-privilege access models to protect critical systems and data.
• Secure access to key mainframe resources (datasets, CICS, DB2, IMS, MQ, system-level resources).
• Define and maintain security policies and access standards; perform periodic access reviews and audits.
• Support compliance with regulations (SOX, PCI, HIPAA) and ensure alignment with enterprise governance and audit requirements.
• Monitor and analyze security activity using RACF reports, SMF logs, and SIEM tools.
• Investigate and respond to access violations, unauthorized attempts, security incidents, and troubleshoot access issues.
• Support integration with enterprise IAM solutions, SSO, and MFA; assist with system-wide RACF configuration.
• Assist with advanced security tasks (encryption, certificate management, TLS/SSL configuration, cryptographic services).
• Collaborate across teams to ensure secure, reliable operations and support audit readiness.

Preferred skills: ACF2/Top Secret, SIEM tools, scripting/automation (REXX, Python, Shell), financial/regulatory experience.
