Job description
- As DAP (Discretionary Advice Platform) continues to grow in service of our clients’ needs, our UX team must grow with it.
- The [UX Product Design] role expands the current Product Designer model to support more flexible, hybrid ways of working across Advice.
- In this role, you’ll shape and evolve UX strategies that deliver intuitive experiences, connect journeys end to end, align client needs with business goals, and drive meaningful outcomes across teams and divisions.
- This role is designed for S2 UXers who are ready to grow beyond a single discipline-bringing strength in one area while building capability in another.
- It emphasizes a strategic range, not workload, meaning you’ll focus on one or two areas at a time based on product needs. In close partnership with product partners and UX peers, you’ll contribute to cross-cutting initiatives that support both long-term direction and day-to-day decisions.
- Today, the Product Designer role (S3) traditionally combines UX Strategy and UX Design. However, the new (S2) hybrid role expands those combinations to also include:
- UX Strategy + UX Design (S2)
- UX Content Strategy + UX Strategy (S2)
- UX Design + UX Content Strategy (S2)
- You don’t need to be a designer to succeed in this role, but a strong strategic mindset and desire to grow are a must.
- You’ll work across technology, product, and UX to create cohesive, effective experiences that span all client segments, from VWS participants to self-directed client offerings.
What You’ll Do
- Create intuitive user experiences and shape UX strategies that align client needs and core messaging with business goals.
- Contribute to and influence user flows, wireframes, prototypes, content, and UI patterns across mobile and web, adhering to established brand standards.
- Develop experience and interface strategies, producing artifacts such as journey flows, wireframes, and messaging to guide design and delivery.
- Partner closely with UX peers, product, technology, and business teams to prioritize work and translate user insights into actionable product solutions.
- Collaborate with research and data partners to inform decisions with qualitative and quantitative insights, using experimentation to validate ideas.
- Apply market trends, competitive insights, OKRs, and user behavior to inform experience direction and product evolution.
- Advocate for usercentered solutions that adapt to changing client needs, business priorities, and emerging technologies.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of industry/field experience in user experience design, content, or strategy.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training, certifications, and experience in a creative or technical field.
