Job description

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on IT professional with strong technical knowledge across Microsoft environments and infrastructure support to join a busy IT department delivering critical operational services., * Provide 2nd line support for IT incidents and service requests across multiple sites.

  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, networks, and systems.
  • Support Microsoft environments including Windows OS, Office 365, Exchange, Active Directory, servers, and networking infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, escalating where appropriate.
  • Support and mentor junior IT staff when required.
  • Manage user accounts, system changes, and IT equipment lifecycle processes.
  • Contribute to IT projects, system upgrades, and service improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure IT systems remain secure, stable, and operational across all services.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in an IT support or infrastructure role (2nd line or equivalent).
  • Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft technologies, networking, and server environments.
  • Confident troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to support non-technical users.
  • Ability to work flexibly across multiple sites in Sussex.
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle essential.
  • Relevant IT qualifications or equivalent hands-on experience.
