Job description

We are looking for someone to join our Data Centre Engineering team to complete statutory and non-statutory maintenance to our critical M&E Infrastructure across our owned sites. The role involves routine and unplanned maintenance of the critical and non-critical M&E infrastructure along with provisioning IT services to meet the requirements our internal and external customer. IT service provisioning may be required at any of our operational sites., * Complete statutory and non-statutory maintenance of critical M&E assets

  • Carry out condition monitoring of critical M&E and IT assets
  • Respond to issues promptly and efficiently to ensure contractual SLAs are maintained
  • Complete and document fault-finding as part of root cause analysis
  • Provision IT services in accordance with approved workflows
  • Report and track issues using the appropriate management tools
  • Keep management and relevant departments informed of progress and any issues at all times
  • Promote and adhere to all Health & Safety policies and procedures
  • Assist Operations and Security teams as required

Requirements

The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a proactive attitude. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential. You will have strong time management skills and able to prioritise your workload effectively. This role requires continuous professional development, so the successful candidate will be keen to develop their knowledge and skills through on the job training, formal learning, and ongoing self-development., * Previous experience of working within a Facilities Management environment as an Electrical or Mechanical Engineer

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience of working in a facilities organisation within a critical environment
  • Previous experience of working in a data centre
  • Knowledge of High Voltage systems and networks
  • Knowledge of M&E statutory maintenance legislation

Education & Qualifications

Essential

  • HNC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience

Desirable

  • C&G 2382 - Requirements for Electrical Installations
  • C&G 2391 - Initial and Periodic Electrical Inspection and Testing
  • C&G 2392 - Fundamental Inspection, Testing and Initial Verification
  • C&G 7189 - Refrigeration and Air-conditioning
  • C&G 6188 - Heating and Ventilating
  • Data cabling installation experience
  • IOSH Working Safely
