Job description

Are you a word wizard who also loves a pristine database? Cella is seeking a detail-obsessed, highly articulate Donor Communications & Database Specialist for a highly flexible opportunity with a premier healthcare organization in Dallas, TX. This unique role bridges the gap between elite written storytelling and technical data integrity. We are looking for someone who thrives on taking true editorial ownership of high-stakes communications while navigating robust CRM data systems., * Template Modernization & Storytelling: Revise, polish, and modernize historical fundraising and thank-you templates to align with active campaign narratives. Draft tailored, elegant daily communications for high-profile major contributors.

  • Stewardship Frameworks: Design and manage monthly donor touchpoints across various giving tracks (memorials, giving circles, and non-monetary gifts) to keep messaging impactful.
  • Editorial Oversight: Execute advanced proofreading, copyediting, and stylistic checks across all outgoing development materials to guarantee flawless brand voice and zero errors.
  • CRM Database Management: Accurately update elite giving club membership profiles and process contributions within the Raiser’s Edge CRM database, cross-referencing multiple segments to synthesize complex donor dynamics.
  • Workflow & Collaboration: Monitor incoming donations daily to flag high-profile gifts requiring urgent leadership awareness. Interface directly with the VP of Development regarding operational highlights, and partner with internal staff to ensure a strict 24- to 48-hour turnaround for critical correspondence.

Requirements

  • To be considered for submission, candidates MUST provide professional writing samples (e.g., donor/marketing communications, professional correspondence, or editing clips).
  • Experience: 3-5 years of progressive, professional experience heavily rooted in high-level business writing, copyediting, communication content creation, or robust data-verification.
  • Communication Mastery: Superior written prowess with a proven ability to craft text tailored elegantly to high-profile donors, C-suite executives, and stakeholders.
  • Editorial Precision: Exceptional proofreading acumen with a zero-tolerance policy for errors-a true operational “eagle eye”.
  • Database Proficiency: Strong practical experience navigating multi-faceted databases; explicit expertise with the Raiser’s Edge framework is highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word (expert-level styling, typography consistency, template management) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Minimum typing speed of 60+ WPM with pristine accuracy.
