AdaptiveVets Solutions is seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer to develop and maintain automated testing frameworks supporting secure software delivery for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
This senior role leads quality assurance engineering across a mission-critical DevSecOps delivery environment, ensuring all platform deliverables meet the highest standards of quality, security, and reliability., * Design, architect, and maintain enterprise automated testing frameworks for unit, integration, regression, performance, security, and post-deployment validation.
- Lead CI/CD quality gate design and implementation, ensuring automated quality enforcement for all software deliverables.
- Define testing standards, test plan templates, and quality assurance processes.
- Lead post-deployment production validation testing, ensuring all platform changes are verified before sprint closure.
- Coordinate with DevSecOps, software engineering, and security teams to integrate security testing and Section 508 compliance validation.
- Mentor Test Automation Engineers, establishing team testing standards and advancing automated test coverage.
- Produce test metrics, quality trend reports, and sprint quality assessments for program leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field (4 additional years of relevant experience may substitute)
- 8+ years of test automation engineering experience including framework architecture for enterprise cloud systems
- Expert proficiency in automated test framework development for unit, integration, regression, performance, security, and post-deployment testing
- Experience designing CI/CD quality gate frameworks in Kubernetes-based delivery pipelines
- Demonstrated experience mentoring QA engineers and defining organizational testing standards, * ISTQB Advanced Level Test Automation Engineer certification
- Experience with security testing frameworks and Section 508 accessibility validation
- Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling)
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or IT (Required)
Experience:
- Senior test automation framework development: 8 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- ISTQB Advanced Level Test Automation Engineer (Preferred)
- Certified Software Test Engineer (CSTE) (Preferred)
