Job description

Sand Hollow Resort is seeking a motivated and dependable Part-Time IT Support Technician to join our Information Technology team. This role is designed to provide first-level technical support, allowing our senior IT staff to focus on infrastructure projects, security initiatives, and strategic IT planning.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a passion for technology, a customer-service mindset, and the desire to grow within a dynamic hospitality environment. You will work directly under the supervision of the senior IT staff and play a key role in keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly., Tier-1 Help Desk & End-User Support

  • Respond to and resolve incoming IT support requests from staff across all departments
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on workstations, printers, and peripheral devices
  • Support POS systems and hospitality software for front-line staff
  • Set up workstations and configure peripheral devices for new employees
  • Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding processes under senior IT guidance

Network & Device Support

  • Assist with monitoring and basic troubleshooting of network connectivity across resort locations
  • Support IP camera and NVR troubleshooting under senior direction
  • Help maintain static IP reservations and basic network documentation
  • Escalate complex network or infrastructure issues to the senior IT staff

Ticketing & Documentation

  • Log all support requests and resolutions accurately
  • Follow standardized SOPs and How-To guides for recurring support issues
  • Assist in building and maintaining IT documentation as directed
  • Communicate clearly with end-users on ticket status and resolution timelines

General IT Operations

  • Assist with software installations, updates, and basic configuration tasks
  • Support audio/visual setup and troubleshooting for resort events as needed
  • Help perform routine maintenance tasks on workstations and devices
  • Assist with senior IT staff projects

Requirements

Required

  • Basic troubleshooting knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace
  • Comfortable troubleshooting hardware and software issues (printers, phones, peripherals)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and a customer-first attitude
  • Ability to follow written SOPs and escalate issues appropriately
  • 1 year of experience with or coursework in IT, networking, or a related field

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Familiarity with POS systems, hospitality software, or similar environments
  • CompTIA A+ certification or currently pursuing
  • Interest in growing into a full-time IT role long-term
