Part Time IT Support Technician - LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY

• Troubleshoot Windows and macOS issues, from routine problems to unusual ones
• Assist walk-in customers, answer phone calls, and handle check-ins and point of sale transactions
• Explain technical issues to customers in clear, simple terms
• Manage tickets from intake through completion and keep accurate service records
• Occasionally perform on-site service calls, including delivery, setup, and configuration of equipment
• Provide basic client orientation and training as needed, * We are a small team, so you will often be the one working through a difficult problem on your own. There is no larger tech department to pass hard tickets to.
• Some days are busy with back to back customers and phone calls. Other days are slower, and we expect you to keep busy with other work.
• Not every repair has a solution. We care more about how you approach a problem than about whether every one gets solved., * Schedule: About 20 hours per week. We are flexible on which days and times, though afternoons are the most useful to us. A consistent weekly schedule is important. Tell us your availability and we will work with it.

• The ability to troubleshoot an unfamiliar problem and work it through to a solution. This is the most important qualification for this position.
• Strong customer service skills and a friendly, professional manner
• Solid working knowledge of Windows and macOS that goes beyond basic use
• Hands-on experience repairing laptops, desktops, and gaming computers, including hardware diagnosis, part replacement, and thermal or power issues
• Basic understanding of electronics
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance on a set schedule, * Electronics repair, soldering, or board-level diagnostics
• Comfortable recommending products and services to customers who would benefit from them
• Linux knowledge
• Networking basics
• Cybersecurity basics
• Windows Server and Active Directory basics
• Business email (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace) basics
• CompTIA A+ or a similar certification
• Basic Spanish comprehension and speaking
