- Provide field support and PC support across three properties, all within a five-mile radius.
- Manage and resolve technical issues submitted through a ticketing system, including requests related to system access, phones, Wi-Fi, and cable TV.
- Participate in a Wi-Fi refresh project, which includes replacing over 900 access points in guest-occupied rooms.
- Handle new builds and cabin setups, providing necessary technical installation and support.
- Perform cabling tasks, including working with Cat 6 wiring, RJ45 connectors, and patch panels.
- Interact with employees, managers, and guests, delivering a high level of customer service.
- Maintain flexibility, as daily responsibilities can change based on operational needs.
Requirements
We are seeking a self-sufficient and flexible Resort IT Field Technician to provide on-site technical support. This role involves managing a variety of technical needs across three properties, handling service tickets, and participating in ongoing projects such as a significant Wi-Fi refresh. The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter who can work independently, multitask effectively, and provide excellent customer service to both internal staff and guests., * 3-5 years of experience in a Field Support or PC Support role.
- Proficiency with PC hardware, desktop support, and general network knowledge.
- Experience with telecom infrastructure, including an understanding of wiring, Cat 6, RJ45 connectors, and patch panels.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, learn quickly, and take initiative.
- Experience with Windows environments and Microsoft Office 365.
- Must be open to occasional, though rare, out-of-state travel.
- Availability for a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours support.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in the hospitality industry or a resort environment.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow for ticket management.
- General understanding of network equipment, such as switches.
- Experience with cable TV systems.
