Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer III to join our team in Baltimore, MD. This is an onsite position responsible for managing and supporting network infrastructure across multiple sites. The ideal candidate will have advanced technical expertise in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting, as well as strong leadership and communication skills to coordinate across teams and locations.

What YOU will do: Network Administration & Maintenance Configure, monitor, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure across multiple sites. Ensure network performance, availability, and security meet organizational standards. Troubleshooting & Support Diagnose and resolve complex network issues promptly to minimize downtime. Provide Tier III support for escalated network problems. Implementation & Upgrades Plan and execute network hardware/software upgrades and migrations. Deploy and integrate new technologies to optimize network performance. Security & Compliance Implement and enforce network security policies, firewalls, and VPN configurations. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies. Documentation & Reporting Maintain accurate network diagrams, configurations, and operational documentation. Prepare reports on network health, capacity planning, and incident resolution. Collaboration & Leadership Work closely with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance as needed., As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and secure workplace, successful completion of a background check and drug screening is a mandatory condition for employment. Requirements

Must have at least a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a relevant discipline

7+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering roles. Proven experience managing multi-site network environments. This position involves access to export-controlled technology which requires U.S. Person status or government authorization. A ‘U.S. Person,’ as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62, includes U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, individuals lawfully admitted for permanent residence (green card holders), and individuals granted asylum or refugee status in the United States. To be considered for this position, you must either be a U.S. Person or fall within a legally recognized export control exception or authorization. If hired, you will be required to provide valid proof of such status.

Desired Characteristics

Technical Skills: Expertise in Cisco or similar networking technologies (routing, switching, firewalls). Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, and network security principles. Familiarity with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies. Certifications: CCNP or equivalent preferred.

Estimate salary range for this role: $120,000 to $150,000 per year. ST Engineering considers several factors with extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, education/training/certification, job level, and work location. Base salary is only one component of our competitive Total Rewards package.
