Job description

We are looking for a reliable, customer-focused Tier 1 IT Support Technician to join our internal IT department in Portland, Oregon. This is an onsite position supporting employees with day-to-day technical issues, equipment needs, and basic IT service requests., * Provide Tier 1 help desk support for employees

  • Respond to, track, and manage work orders using a ticketing system

  • Assist with laptop setup, software installation, and basic troubleshooting

  • Support Windows and Microsoft 365 users

  • Assist with Active Directory tasks such as password resets and basic account support

  • Troubleshoot printers, phones, and basic network connectivity issues

  • Maintain accurate inventory records for IT equipment

  • Help prepare, deploy, and recover laptops and other hardware

  • Document support activities clearly and accurately

  • Escalate more complex technical issues when needed

Requirements

This is a great opportunity for someone who is entry-level and looking to grow their career in IT. The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, is dependable, and is comfortable learning new systems and processes., * Entry-level IT experience or equivalent training preferred

  • Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems

  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365

  • Basic understanding of Active Directory

  • Experience with or willingness to learn ticketing systems

  • Basic understanding of printers, networking, and phone systems

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Reliable, punctual, and professional

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to follow instructions and document work accurately

Requirements

  • Must be able to work onsite in Portland, Oregon

  • Must have a valid driver’s license

  • Must be able to pass a background check

  • Must be able to pass a drug test

  • Must be able to lift and move IT equipment as needed
