Job description

  • Reports to: Director of Cloud Development
  • Employment: payroll only (no contractors)

CERM develops a cutting-edge SaaS product, using AI first principles, to redefine how the labels and packaging industry manages operations. Our advanced MIS solutions help businesses around the world work smarter and more efficiently.

You’ll be joining a passionate team using the latest tools and technologies to build a modern cloud-native solution from the ground up. We are looking for a Scrum Master who can lead agile delivery across two distributed development teams while helping the organization navigate the shift to agentic software development - where AI agents actively participate in coding, testing, and delivery alongside human developers. This is not a traditional Scrum Master role: the person needs to rethink how Scrum ceremonies, roles, and metrics apply when a meaningful portion of the “team” consists of autonomous or semi-autonomous AI agents.

Here’s what we work with:

  • .NET, React, Entity Framework
  • Azure, SQL Server, Elasticsearch
  • Guiding engineering principles: modular monolith, domain driven design, vertical sliced architecture, multitenancy, API first
  • DevOps principles, containerization, cloud-native development, CI/CD
  • Use of AI tooling (Claude Code) in an agentic engineering context

What you’ll do

You’ll facilitate the development process around scrum principles, adapted to a fast-paced agentic team environment, working in short sprints. In this role you will:

  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives) across two geographically distributed teams.
  • Adapt Scrum practices to reflect agentic workflows - for example, redefining what a “daily stand-up” means when agents complete tasks asynchronously and continuously rather than in daily human work blocks.
  • Help the team rethink story estimation, velocity, and definition of done in a context where AI agents can generate, test, and refactor code at a different pace and with different failure modes than human developers.
  • Coach developers on their evolving role: shifting from primarily writing code to specifying intent, reviewing/validating agent output, and supervising agentic pipelines.
  • Champion continuous improvement and a culture of experimentation, given how quickly agentic tooling and best practices are evolving.
  • Remove impediments for the team, including ones specific to agent tooling (e.g., agent access/permissions, infrastructure bottlenecks, prompt/spec quality issues).
  • Partner with Product Owners to ensure backlogs are structured in a way that’s usable both by human developers and by AI agents (clear, unambiguous, testable acceptance criteria).
  • Track and report meaningful delivery metrics, recognizing that traditional metrics like story points or lines of code may need to be reconsidered or supplemented.
  • Foster collaboration and trust between the two country-based teams, ensuring consistent practices, knowledge-sharing, and a shared understanding of agentic workflows across both locations

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach in a software development environment, ideally in enterprise or B2B software.
  • Practical, hands-on understanding of agentic software development - meaning AI agents that can autonomously plan, write and test, as distinct from simple AI code-completion tools.
  • Strong understanding of how AI-assisted and AI-driven development changes developer workflows, code review practices, testing, and quality assurance.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and rapid change; a track record of adapting processes rather than rigidly applying textbook frameworks.
  • Excellent facilitation, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Scrum Master certification - useful as a baseline, though the role requires going well beyond standard certification content given the agentic context.
  • A keen interest in the products of CERM and the problems we address for our customers.
  • Strong communication skills in Dutch and English;

Bonus points if you:

  • Have experience working with AI coding agents or AI-augmented development pipelines in a production setting.
  • Have a background in change management, particularly leading teams through significant tooling or process transformations.

The mindset you bring to the team

  • Fast learner: excited about new tech
  • Hands-on attitude: action oriented, lead by example
  • Team Player: foster a supportive, creative environment
  • Transparent: collaborate openly & respectfully with diverse teams
  • Provide natural leadership by guiding team priorities, ensure effective coordination across teams

Benefits & conditions

We offer a collaborative and forward-thinking environment where you can grow, learn, and make a difference from day one. This is what you can expect:

  • Professional development and training opportunities
  • Competitive salary and benefits
  • Flexible work options
  • A chance to help shape the future of a global industry

If you’re passionate about tech, people, and making a real impact… bring your skills, bring your curiosity - let’s build the future of this industry together.
