Treo Recruitment is proud to be supporting a growing and well-established IT services provider in their search for an ICT Support Technician / Field Engineer.

Our client delivers high-quality IT support and digital transformation projects across the education, SME, and non-profit sectors, and due to continued growth, they are looking to expand their technical team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT professional seeking a varied, hands-on role with strong career progression.

This is a field-based IT support role working in a secondary school / college environment.

You will:

  • Provide on-site technical support
  • Work closely with a central Service Desk team
  • Ensure issues are resolved efficiently and in line with SLAs
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service

This role suits someone who enjoys: Problem-solving Working with people A varied and fast-paced environment Developing their technical skillset, * Install, configure and maintain IT hardware, servers, and network infrastructure

  • Support cloud-based systems and backup solutions
  • Troubleshoot Windows environments and end-user devices
  • Provide support for MIS and finance systems
  • Maintain and repair interactive classroom technology
  • Collaborate with the Service Desk team to resolve support tickets
  • Assist with IT installations and rollout projects

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an IT Support / Field Engineer / Helpdesk role
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 deployment and troubleshooting
  • Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
  • Understanding of LAN/WAN networking
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable (Not Essential)

  • Experience within the education sector
  • Knowledge of MIS systems (e.g. SIMS, Arbor)
  • Experience with audio visual / classroom technology, * Minimum 5 GCSEs (including Maths & English)
  • Level 3 IT qualification / apprenticeship (or equivalent)
