Job description

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing organisation seeking an experienced IT Support Technician to provide support across multiple office and operational locations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive IT professional who enjoys getting out into the business, building relationships with users and taking ownership of IT issues from start to finish.

The successful candidate will act as a key point of contact for employees, providing both remote and on-site support, while proactively identifying and resolving issues before they impact users. This role will suit someone who enjoys variety, autonomy and being the person colleagues turn to when they need IT support. The Role

  • Provide first and second-line IT support to users across multiple sites
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking and system issues
  • Support Microsoft 365, Windows environments and user accounts
  • Install, configure and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices and peripherals
  • Set up equipment for new starters and manage IT assets
  • Travel between sites to provide on-site support and build strong relationships with end users
  • Proactively identify recurring issues and implement improvements
  • Support IT projects, upgrades and system rollouts
  • Maintain accurate records of support requests, assets and resolutions
  • Ensure IT systems remain secure, reliable and fit for purpose

Requirements

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Previous experience within an IT Support Technician, IT Support Engineer, Service Desk Analyst or similar role
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Windows environments
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD and device management
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach
  • A proactive mindset and the confidence to work independently
  • A genuine passion for technology and continuous improvement
