Job description

Care Medical & Dental Group is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented IT Support Specialist to provide technical support for the organization’s medical and dental offices. The successful candidate will maintain computer systems, assist healthcare staff with daily technical issues, and help ensure secure and uninterrupted access to electronic medical and dental records.

Key responsibilities include installing and configuring desktop computers, laptops, printers, and network devices; troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues; supporting Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, email services, and office applications; maintaining user accounts and access permissions; performing routine system updates and data backups; coordinating with third-party vendors for equipment maintenance; and documenting support requests and resolutions.

The IT Support Specialist will also assist with maintaining HIPAA-compliant security practices, monitor network performance, support telehealth and practice management systems, and ensure that all workstations and peripheral devices remain operational during business hours. The role requires excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication with clinical and administrative staff, and the ability to prioritize multiple support requests in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience supporting Windows-based environments, Microsoft 365, network troubleshooting, and computer hardware.
  • Knowledge of basic networking, cybersecurity best practices, and data backup procedures.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting multiple departments in a healthcare setting.
