INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST

• You will support effective operation of ship-board and shore-based Air Traffic Control and Landing Systems.
• You will design, develop, integrate, and evaluate complex airborne mission systems and associated software-driven capabilities.
• You will work on aircraft systems and sensor interfaces.

• This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the gs-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1.) Demonstrated success in the advancement and integration of new technologies across the Naval Air Enterprise. 2) Aircraft guidance, navigation, and control experience. 3) Aircraft systems and sensor interface experience. 4) Cockpit displays and controls experience. 5) Data links experience such as ARCData links, ARC-210, Tactical Targeting Network Technology (TTNT)., Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment., PPP applicants will be placed at the FPL, if determined Well Qualified (WQ). To receive priority consideration, the FPL must be the same grade level or equivalent of the retained grade or the grade held immediately prior to separation.
