Intermediate Backend Engineer - Cape Town

Requirements

Must have:

- We are looking for an intermediate backend engineer with 4–5 years of relevant backend development experience. - We require experience in microservices architecture and RESTful API services. - We value experience working in an English-speaking environment. - We are looking for an analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills. - We expect experience developing backend systems. - We require experience in one or more of the following: Node.js, Java, Ruby, PHP, Python, etc. - We need the ability to integrate multiple data sources and databases into a single system. - Nice to have: knowledge of CI/CD practises. - Nice to have: familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Responsibilities:

• We develop and support software, including applications, database integration, interfaces, and new functionality enhancements. - We collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements.
