IT Assistant

We are a small online business that coordinates between customers and heavy equipment yards. We need a reliable IT Assistant to keep our systems organized, secure, and working day to day.

Schedule

• Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM-7:00 PM (about 25 hours/week)
• Flexible as business needs change

What You’ll Do

• Organize Google Drive folders and files
• Verify antivirus/security tools are active and up to date on company desktops
• Follow written procedures for routine system/database checks and basic repairs
• Troubleshoot common hardware/software issues on Windows and Mac
• Handle basic Linux/Ubuntu console tasks when needed
• Track issues, escalate quickly, and communicate clearly with leadership

• Student in IT/cyber/related program, relevant certifications, or equivalent hands-on experience
• Basic working knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux/Ubuntu
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through
• Good communication and customer-service mindset

Nice to Have

• Help desk or ticketing experience
• Google Workspace familiarity
• Basic networking knowledge (DNS, TCP/IP, VPN), * Computer literacy: 2 years (Preferred)
