Job description

  • Provide electrical test support for locomotive HITL simulators
  • Read electrical schematics to determine what circuits or components need tested
  • Troubleshoot testing problems
  • Design and modify control logic diagrams
  • Develop MATLAB/Simulink Plant Models to support Hardware in The Loop (HITL) simulators
  • Support SIM Lab 3rd shift (11 PM to 7 AM) operations, * You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
  • Self-starter with leadership abilities to assess the situation and take affirmative actions
  • Proficiency with Linux & Unix Commands
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics for high voltage/heavy equipment and associated test fixtures
  • Experience with AC and DC motors, 3 Phase Alternators, pulse width modulation controls systems
  • Experience and proficiency with LabVIEW, MATLAB/Simulink, Plant Model Development, MATRIXX, and AutoCAD-Electrical
  • Experience with RS232/422 communication protocols
  • Knowledge of C/C++, Javascript or Python
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and above average communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point
  • Willingness to help support the team with 3rd shift operations, * Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
