Job description

Our client is seeking a Senior AI/ML Solutions Architect to provide technical leadership at the intersection of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and enterprise architecture. This role will help shape scalable AI solutions, establish architectural standards, and collaborate across technical teams to bring innovative AI capabilities into production. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader who excels at building working prototypes, solving complex integration challenges, and driving alignment through collaboration., * Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise AI and machine learning solutions, establishing scalable patterns and best practices for production environments.

  • Develop working prototypes and proof-of-concept solutions to validate technical approaches, demonstrate feasibility, and guide architectural decisions.
  • Build production-quality code, APIs, and integrations as needed to address complex technical challenges and establish implementation standards.
  • Define architectural standards for AI-specific capabilities, including evaluation frameworks, observability, monitoring, governance, responsible AI practices, and safety controls.
  • Create and maintain reference architectures for common AI and machine learning solution patterns.
  • Partner with enterprise architecture, engineering, and platform teams to ensure AI solutions align with organizational technology standards while addressing the unique requirements of AI systems.
  • Evaluate emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and platforms, providing technical recommendations that balance innovation, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
  • Design integration strategies for enterprise AI initiatives involving multiple systems, platforms, and external partners.
  • Lead technical design reviews, document architectural decisions, and promote consistency across AI initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to standardize reusable components and architectural patterns across a portfolio of AI solutions.
  • Mentor engineers and architects while fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and technical excellence across cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 12+ years of technology experience, including at least 7 years designing enterprise systems and translating complex business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of technical leadership and architecture experience.
  • Deep expertise in modern AI and machine learning technologies, including generative AI, large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agent-based systems, traditional machine learning, and AI/ML operations.
  • Strong Python programming skills with experience building production AI applications, APIs, and system integrations.
  • Experience designing AI solutions that incorporate evaluation frameworks, monitoring, observability, model governance, bias mitigation, and responsible AI practices.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and AI/ML services in environments such as AWS, Azure, or similar cloud ecosystems.
  • Strong background in enterprise architecture, including cloud-native applications, APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, and complex system integrations.
  • Ability to collaborate across technical disciplines, communicate architectural concepts effectively, and build consensus among engineering, architecture, and business stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting regulated industries is preferred; healthcare or health insurance industry experience is a plus.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience will be considered.

Salary: $153K-$192K/year. (DOE), Benefits are available to eligible full-time employees and include coverage for medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long term disability, and matching 401k.
