Job description
As a Data Engineer in NN Bank’s Risk Department (Data Factory team), you develop and operate scalable data platform solutions on Azure. Leveraging Databricks, SQL, Azure ADLS, and Azure Data Factory, you build robust data pipelines and data warehousing capabilities. Working with cross-functional teams, you help meet business and regulatory demands by delivering reliable, high-quality data that underpins the Bank’s critical processes., As a member of NN Bank’s Data Factory, you will work within the Risk (CRO) domain. Our mission is to collect and deliver high-quality data to support finance and risk processes, enabling accurate risk modelling and reporting.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering
- Proven expertise in:
- Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, MLflow)
- SQL (T-SQL, Spark SQL) for complex transformations and performance tuning
- Python for data processing and automation
- Cloud platforms (Azure)
- ETL orchestration tools (e.g. Azure Data Factory)
- Experience with data governance, metadata management
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD pipelines

- Implement robust, scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake) and SQL to support complex financial data workflows
- Collaborate with architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate financial requirements into technical solutions
- Optimize data processing for cost-efficiency, latency, and scalability in Azure
- Implement and maintain (CI/CD) pipelines, automated testing, and monitoring for data workflows
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team-wide best practices, code reviews, and knowledge sharing
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and evaluate their applicability to the data ecosystem
