Job description

We are seeking an experienced Data Center Fiber / Infrastructure Lead to support installation, maintenance, and operational activities within large-scale data center environments. This role serves as a key point of coordination between customers, vendors, and technical teams to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and with a high level of quality.

The ideal candidate has hands-on fiber installation experience, experience working in large data centers, and a proven track record of leading teams in customer-facing environments. This individual should be comfortable providing guidance to technicians, overseeing work quality, removing operational obstacles, and ensuring customer expectations are met.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee fiber installation, remediation, migration, and break/fix activities.
  • Act as a liaison between customers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Audit and review completed work to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and testing of fiber infrastructure.
  • Review and follow engineering documents, procedures, and network drawings.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and communication with stakeholders.
  • Support data center operations and infrastructure projects as needed.

Requirements

  • 2.5+ years of fiber installation experience.
  • 1.5+ years of experience working within large-scale data center environments.
  • Previous team lead, crew lead, or supervisory experience.
  • Strong customer-facing communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience coordinating vendors or third-party technicians.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard Windows applications.
  • High attention to detail, integrity, self-motivation, and strong organizational skills.
  • Experience with fiber testing, structured cabling, and data center infrastructure is preferred.

This position is ideal for a hands-on technical professional who enjoys leading teams, working directly with customers, and driving high-quality execution in critical data center environments., * This position is located in the Atlanta area however the exact data center locations could be 25 to 50 miles outside of metro Atlanta. Are you able to commute outside of city limits?
