Job description

As a Developer, you will have the opportunity to work on our in-house web applications and services, learning from experienced members of the team, and contribute to the growth and success of the company. You will report into the Senior Developer.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Working with the senior developer and other members of the team to develop and maintain company web applications and services.
  • Assist in the design, coding, testing and implementation of new solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues that arise in live or testing environments.
  • Organise and carry out code reviews to ensure code quality and provide feedback to the team.

Requirements

Due to the systems we use, the following skills are essential for the job role.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering or equivalent practical experience
  • Understanding of Node.js and associated libraries (in particular Express and Sequelize)
  • Experience of using MySQL and MSSQL databases
  • Experience of server-side templating languages (Handlebars or equivalent)
  • Experience of front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS & JavaScript)
  • Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git
  • Knowledge of Linux environment
  • Experience with WordPress
