Job description

We are looking for a Full Stack Web Developer to join our growing tech team. You will be embedded in the day-to-day delivery of our web products, owning the front-end experience across our Shopify-powered eCommerce estate, building and maintaining backend services, and enabling our marketing and acquisition functions through robust technical integrations. This is a hands-on role with real ownership and direct impact on customer experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Building, maintaining, and optimising our Shopify-based eCommerce storefronts across multiple partner brands.
  • Developing responsive, performant front-end interfaces with TypeScript and a modern component framework (our storefront currently uses Vue).
  • Designing and maintaining RESTful APIs and backend services in TypeScript/Node.js.
  • Integrating marketing and analytics tooling, including Klaviyo, PostHog, Meta, and Google acquisition channels.
  • Collaborating with the product and commercial teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Driving code reviews and upholding high standards for code quality, security, and performance.
  • Contributing to architecture decisions and the ongoing migration from Shopify toward a custom backend stack.
  • Working within an agile framework: sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and iterative delivery.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional web development experience across multiple products or teams.
  • Strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS, with solid experience in at least one modern component framework (React, Vue, Angular, Svelte, or similar). We hire for JS/TS fundamentals, not a single framework; our storefront currently uses Vue.
  • Solid backend experience in TypeScript/Node.js (Cloudflare Workers, Fly.io, or similar).
  • Relational data modelling experience (PostgreSQL or similar).
  • Familiarity with analytics and product telemetry tools (PostHog, GA4, or equivalent).
  • Hands-on, daily experience with AI-assisted coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot, or similar), and the judgement to review their output critically.
  • Experience in a startup or scale-up environment where pace and pragmatism matter.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently, remotely, and take end-to-end ownership of features.

Nice to Have

  • Shopify experience, including theme customisation, Liquid, and the Shopify API (our storefront is heavily built on it).
  • Cloudflare (Workers, KV, Queues) and Fly.io serverless deployment.
  • GraphQL experience (our own APIs are REST-first; useful for the Shopify Admin API).
  • Marketing automation (Klaviyo) and acquisition channels (Meta, Google).
  • Experience with agentic AI chatbot integration.
  • eSIM, telecom, or travel-tech domain experience.
