Job description

We’re seeking an IT Director to lead technology strategies and operations across the company, based in DFW with a hybrid schedule and periodic travel to restaurant locations, primarily within Texas.

This role has significant scope right now. Local Favorites and Cotton Patch Cafe are in the process of integrating systems, and the IT Director will lead that work - including evaluating point-of-sale platforms across the organization, aligning infrastructure across brands, and managing a growing IT team.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and lead a technology roadmap that supports the integration of Local Favorites and Cotton Patch Cafe.
  • Evaluate point-of-sale systems across the organization and lead any resulting platform decisions and transitions.
  • Oversee infrastructure, enterprise systems, and data security across the organization.
  • Build and manage the internal IT team and external vendor relationships.
  • Evaluate and implement platforms supporting digital commerce, loyalty, and operations.
  • Own cybersecurity and disaster recovery planning.
  • Partner with Operations, HR, and Finance on cross-functional technology needs.
  • Monitor emerging technology trends relevant to the business.
  • Serve as the liaison between executive leadership and the IT function.
  • Manage the IT department’s annual budget.
  • Travel periodically to restaurant locations, primarily within Texas.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of progressive IT leadership experience, ideally in multi-unit retail, restaurant, or hospitality.
  • Experience with systems architecture, network/infrastructure management, and SaaS integration.
  • Experience integrating or migrating systems through a merger, acquisition, or multi-brand consolidation.
  • A track record of leading and developing teams.
  • Ability to align technology strategy with business objectives.
  • Willingness to travel periodically, primarily within Texas.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; degree in IT or a technical field preferred.

Nice to Have

  • Experience leading digital transformation initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Toast POS and/or POSI, our brand’s current point-of-sale platforms.
  • Familiarity with restaurants or hospitality technology.
  • Exposure to loyalty programs, POS systems, and cloud-based operational tools.
