Sentinel Technologies is seeking an IT Support Specialist for one of its partners to provide hands-on technical support for office, shop, and field employees. Responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues; supporting users in person, remotely, and by phone; managing IT tickets; onboarding and offboarding employees; configuring devices; maintaining equipment inventory; and documenting IT procedures. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and able to communicate clearly with users of varying technical levels. Requirements
- Preferred: 1-3 years of IT support, technical support, or help desk experience in a business environment.
- Practical experience troubleshooting Windows desktops, laptops, and supporting end users with hardware, of network fundamentals, including TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, printers, and common connectivity troubleshooting.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, operating systems, Microsoft 365 applications, and business software.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve common technical issues independently, seeking guidance from senior IT staff when appropriate.
- Experience configuring, deploying, and supporting desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and related peripherals.
- Strong communication, customer service, and training skills with the ability to support users of varying technical backgrounds in office, shop, and field environments.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, manage support tickets, and maintain accurate documentation; valid driverâs license and ability to travel between company locations as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, stand, walk and sit
- Ability to commute between company locations locally for support and repairs
- A valid driverâs license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required
- Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
- Must demonstrate a âcan-doâ attitude
