Powder is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the planning, design, procurement, construction, and delivery of complex civil infrastructure projects supporting one of North America’s premier mountain resort developments.
This role oversees large-scale capital projects from concept through completion, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, environmental stewardship, schedule, and budget performance. The ideal candidate is a seasoned infrastructure leader with extensive heavy civil construction experience, exceptional project leadership skills, and the ability to independently manage multiple high-value projects in a challenging mountain environment., * Lead the full lifecycle of major civil infrastructure projects, from planning through commissioning and closeout.
- Manage multiple concurrent capital projects while overseeing budgets, schedules, procurement, contracts, consultants, and contractors.
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, utility providers, regulatory agencies, resort operations, and executive leadership.
- Drive project execution with a focus on safety, quality, environmental compliance, risk management, and fiscal accountability.
- Provide executive-level reporting, strategic recommendations, and leadership throughout project delivery.
- Mentor project teams and foster strong relationships with consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
Requirements
- 10-15+ years of progressive project management experience in heavy civil infrastructure.
- Proven success delivering large-scale capital projects, including individual projects exceeding $100M and multi-project programs totaling $250M+.
- Extensive experience managing roadway, utility, water, wastewater, drainage, grading, earthwork, and underground infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, cost management, scheduling, and construction administration.
- Experience delivering projects in complex or remote environments; mountain or resort development experience is highly preferred.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, resolve complex construction challenges, and communicate effectively with executive stakeholders., * Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- PE or PMP certification preferred.
- Experience with design-build, CM/GC, or progressive design-build delivery methods.
- Proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Bluebeam, AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, and Microsoft Office.
