Power BI Developer

Public Risk Innovation, Solutions, and Management (PRISM), a Joint Powers Authority (JPA) providing risk management and insurance solutions to public entities across California, is seeking a Power BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and paginated reports that deliver actionable insights to PRISM staff, member agencies, partners, brokers, and vendors.

Working closely with business stakeholders, the Power BI Developer will translate business requirements and report specifications into polished, production-ready reporting solutions. This role requires strong analytical, technical, and communication skills, with a focus on delivering meaningful data visualizations and reporting tools that support informed decision-making.

Qualified candidates will possess a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field - or equivalent work experience. Candidates should also have two to four years of hands-on experience developing Power BI dashboards and reports in a professional environment, along with demonstrated expertise in creating paginated reports using Power BI Report Builder and/or SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).

Experience in the insurance, risk management, public sector, or government analytics industries is highly preferred. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality reporting solutions, collaborating effectively with stakeholders, and transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights.
