Job description

We’re looking for an Application Production Support Engineer to join our team and support critical trading applications for our Electronic Execution platform. The ideal candidate has hands-on production support experience, is comfortable working under pressure, and knows how to keep trading systems running smoothly day to day. Role and responsibilities

  • Handle critical production issues, applying the right troubleshooting process to get systems back up fast
  • Work with business users to gather requirements and manage problems, changes, and incidents (ServiceNow, JIRA, Confluence)
  • Build and maintain run-books, SOPs, and training material, and help train the team
  • Set up monitoring and alerts (GENEOS, Open Search, Grafana) to catch issues before they escalate
  • Automate routine checks with Python and shell scripting to cut down manual work
  • Run root cause analysis after incidents and support audit, compliance, and business continuity efforts

Requirements

  • Solid experience in application production support, ideally in a fast-paced trading environment
  • Strong skills in Python, shell, SQL, and familiarity with ServiceNow, JIRA, XML, and FIX Protocol
  • Good understanding of equities markets and trading platforms (OMS, EMS, SOR)
  • Comfortable reading logs and FIX messages to troubleshoot and find root causes
  • Strong communicator, able to explain technical issues clearly to both technical and business teams
  • Able to stay calm and prioritize well when things get stressful

  • Competitive salary between USD $100,000 - $130,000 annual salary. We do not have performance bonuses.
