Job description

  • Prepare technical drawings, documentation, and design solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial façade projects; review colleagues’ deliverables to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with project requirements and applicable standards.
  • Analyze assigned tasks, identify potential issues, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery of project work.
  • Maintain accurate records in Dalux and timesheets, ensuring effective planning and task management.
  • Perform quality checks and ensure all designs meet project requirements, standards, and technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants, and suppliers to integrate façade solutions seamlessly into building projects.
  • Work cross-functionally with our internal Production and Installation departments to ensure that solutions are aligned, buildable, and cost-effective - not only from a material perspective, but also in terms of fabrication and installation.
  • Cooperate with WSD, Structural, and BIM teams to ensure the final design is fully coordinated, technically accurate, and ready for production and installation.
  • Contribute to improving internal design processes, tools, and standards, fostering innovation and efficiency within the team.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience in façade or building envelope design, with a strong background in technical design.
  • Proficiency in façade design principles, materials (glass, aluminum, steel, cladding, etc.), and construction techniques.
  • Strong experience with different façade systems: unitised, stick curtain wall, ventilated façades, windows/doors, balustrades, canopies, and similar.
  • Strong understanding of fabrication processes, manufacturing capabilities, and installation strategies to ensure designs are practical, efficient, and buildable.
  • Experience using both standard off-the-shelf façade systems and developing new systems, including creating custom aluminium extrusion dies.
  • Good understanding of structural engineering principles related to building envelopes, including thermal, fire, acoustic performance, waterproofing, and drainage principles of façade systems.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (e.g. EN, BSC, CWCT guidance).

Technical Skills:

  • A degree in engineering.
  • Proficient in CAD and 3D modelling software: AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks.
  • Ability to analyze façade performance issues and develop innovative solutions.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working on high-rise, commercial, or complex architectural projects.
  • Experience in the UK market is considered a strong advantage.
  • Knowledge of French or German is a strong advantage.

Soft Skills:

  • Fluency in English (minimum B2 level) with the ability to represent the company professionally.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Teamwork and communication skills.
