Job description
The Technical Services & Training Specialist supports the Technical Services Manager in developing, delivering, and maintaining technical, operational, regulatory, and service training programs. This role serves as a technical resource for franchise owners and associates by providing technical guidance, supporting compliance initiatives, assisting with product evaluations, and helping ensure consistent service delivery across the network., * Assist in developing, delivering, and maintaining technical training programs for franchise owners, managers, office staff, and service professionals.
- Provide technical guidance and operational support related to pest management, equipment, application techniques, and service quality.
- Support regulatory compliance initiatives, including pesticide licensing, certification requirements, and communication of regulatory updates.
- Assist with evaluating new products, equipment, and service offerings through field testing and performance analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop service protocols, operational resources, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate technical training events, onboarding activities, and certification programs while maintaining training materials and learning management system content.
- Track training effectiveness and service quality metrics and maintain technical resource libraries and knowledge management systems.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, across cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Strong understanding of pest management principles and Integrated Pest Management (IPM).
- Ability to explain technical concepts to a variety of audiences.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
- Franchise-first mindset with a customer service focus.
- Ability to travel independently (25-40%)
Education, Experience, & Certifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2-4 years of experience in pest management, technical services, training, or operations support.
- Certified pesticide applicator or ability to obtain certification within a specified timeframe.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
Preferred:
- An Associate’s degree in a related field.
- Experience in mosquito or general pest management.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Experience supporting franchise operations.
