SMT Technician

Create programs for and monitor line equipment for optimum performance. Assist in analyzing and provide feedback concerning team performance metrics to improve effectiveness and productivity, and to provide learning dynamic for PCB layout, pad design, back to the design engineering team., * Conduct Programming, troubleshooting and repairs to:

o Stencil printing machines

o SPI (Solder Paste Inspection) machines

o Placement machines

o Reflow ovens

o AOI (Automatic Optical Inspection) machines

o Other automated and semi-automated equipment: Stencil wash machine, Wave solder machine, Selective Solder machine

• Insures the proper operation of all equipment within the manufacturing area.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance according to planned schedules.
• Creates, edits and revises equipment programs using Windows-based programming and Linux-based software.
• Assist in equipment moves and shop floor rearrangement.
• Other relevant duties as assigned

A.) in Electronics or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or at least

one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Reasoning Skills

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of general computer-based programming of machines., * Associate (Preferred)
