Job description

We are looking for an IT resource to consult, review, update, and periodically maintain our file management and storage system which utilizes a Synology NAS and Dropbox.

  • The contract will include recurring monthly connects, and/or a monthly performance report.
  • The resource must be located in the Seattle area for occasional in-person hardware support on an ad hoc basis.
  • We will need support setting up our IT infrastructure wiring system in our new office space.

Scope of work:

  • Maintain and optimize Synology NAS storage, backups, and permissions.
  • Administer Dropbox file storage and recommend best practices for organization and security.
  • Monitor system health and provide monthly recommendations or status reports.
  • Assist with network equipment, office IT infrastructure, and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Configure and support workstations, printers, and peripherals as needed.
  • Assist with wiring and technology setup.
  • Provide remote support with occasional onsite visits in the Seattle area.

Requirements

  • High understanding of and experience with NAS Synology and Dropbox integration
  • We need someone who is available and responsive, and can respond to support requests within one business hour during normal business hours and provide an estimated timeline for resolution. Critical issues should receive priority attention.
