Job description

  • IOP is seeking a contractor position that is needed to handle the duties and responsibilities of the currently vacant Training Developer position on the IOP UX Team.
  • This position requires a unique combination of technical skills and communication skills that is difficult to find within the constraints of State employment.
  • This resource will provide training, guidance, and product support for 1200+ agency, board, and commission (ABC) users who use the IOP Platform to create and maintain content for their websites and applications. This role will be crucial in maintaining IOP//’s new training curriculum that supports Contentful CMS users. This resource will also be critical in providing UX support that is needed to migrate the 160+ websites from the old HCL CMS to the new CMS.
  • This resource will support IOP in communicating to ABC users, through various channels, when it comes to issues and upcoming changes related to IOP-supported applications and websites.

Additionally, this resource will provide day-to-day support to ABC users who have questions or issues when it comes to using the following IOP applications to update and maintain their public-facing websites:

  • HCL CMS
  • Contentful CMS
  • Cloudinary
  • Form.IO
  • Audience Manager
  • Developer Portal

Requirements

  • Training curriculum management; Employee training & development; Training methodologies
  • Web design, user interfaces and user experience; and tools including HTML and image editing
  • Information Architecture principles
  • User journey, User Studies, Journey Pathing
  • Vendor relations
  • Technical Skills Required: * Content Management Systems (CMS)
  • Technical Skills Required: * Contentful
  • Training Development Software
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and/or JavaScript
  • Agile Methodology

Highly Desired Skills

  • Understanding of the HCL Web Content Manager portal tool
  • Experience with the InnovateOhio Platform or similar government platforms
  • Understanding of Ohio State Government Processes and Regulation
