Technical Project Manager (Cybersecurity & Infrastructure)

The Technical Project Manager drives the planning, coordination, and delivery of projects across the Information Security Operations organization. This role owns project charters, schedules, budgets, and communications for security initiatives - ranging across all of information security, identity, engineering, GRC, and Operations. The ideal candidate blends strong project management discipline with enough technical fluency in networking and security to coordinate engineers, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders, translate technical work into clear plans and status, and keep complex, multi-site programs on track., * Develop and maintain project charters, plans, schedules, resource assignments, and success criteria for security initiatives, and steer them from kickoff through delivery and handover.

• Coordinate multi-site and multi-workstream rollouts, tracking milestones, dependencies, and critical path to keep initiatives on schedule.
• Maintain RAID logs (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies), drive mitigations, and manage scope changes through the appropriate approval process.
• Track project budgets and spend and prepare status reporting and materials for leadership and steering committee reviews.
• Run recurring status meetings, capture decisions and action items, and follow up to closure.
• Vendor & Contract Coordination
• Draft and help negotiate Statements of Work (SOWs), coordinate reviews with vendors and internal stakeholders, and shepherd them to signature.
• Serve as day-to-day point of contact for security vendors and partners - coordinating onboarding, system access, licensing, renewals, and deliverable tracking.
• Facilitate vendor kickoff and status calls (e.g., managed services, tooling, and professional-services engagements) and hold partners accountable to commitments.
• Cross-Functional & Technical Coordination
• Partner with security engineering, architecture, SOC, GRC, IT infrastructure, and site/manufacturing teams to align requirements, schedules, and change windows.
• Coordinate migration and deployment schedules (e.g., platform, firewall management, and virtualization migrations), coordinating maintenance windows, cutover plans, and back-out procedures.
• Ensure network diagrams, design documentation, test results, and sign-offs are captured, reviewed, and archived for each initiative.
• Track the intake and progress of security architecture reviews and process-improvement efforts, keeping items moving through the pipeline.
• Communication & Reporting
• Produce clear, audience-appropriate status updates, executive summaries, and project documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Raise escalations promptly, surfacing risks and decisions to the Director and stakeholders with recommended options.

• 5+ years of project or program management experience, including projects delivered within an IT, infrastructure, or information security environment.
• Demonstrated ability to run the full project lifecycle - charter, plan, execution, risk management, and closure - across multiple concurrent initiatives.
• Working technical fluency in networking and security concepts (firewalls, network segmentation, cloud/virtualization, and monitoring) sufficient to coordinate engineers and vendors and understand technical dependencies.
• Experience managing vendors and third parties, including SOWs, onboarding, licensing, and deliverable tracking.

Preferred Technical Knowledge

• Familiarity with any of the following is a strong plus and reflects the environment this role supports:
• Network and firewall technologies (e.g., Palo Alto Networks, Panorama / Strata Cloud Manager) and firewall policy optimization.
• Operational Technology (OT) / ICS security and network segmentation concepts (e.g., industrial DMZ, default-deny controls, OT monitoring platforms such as Claroty).
• Security monitoring and SIEM integration, and how security events flow into a SOC.
• Certificate / PKI management, identity, and cloud security fundamentals.
• Platform and virtualization migrations (e.g., VMware) and associated cutover planning., * Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Project management certification preferred (e.g., PMP, CAPM, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum).
• Security or networking certifications a plus (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Network+, or vendor-specific credentials).
