Job description

Under general supervision of the Director of Media Infrastructure, the Media Infrastructure Student provides audiovisual support of all campus media systems (classrooms, conference spaces, event spaces, digital signage) to ensure the audio visual equipment is functioning properly. Responsible for the cleanliness of meeting space lecterns and providing preventative maintenance for all associated audio visual gear. Also, responsible for routinely testing the equipment, documentation of issues, troubleshooting any related equipment issues and repairing or replacing faulty equipment.

Requirements

Candidates should be familiar with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office and Apple Computers and Tablets. They must also be able to use all parts of the Office 365 suite. Candidates need to have a basic understanding of how a computer works and be able to define the basic function of individual pieces of computer hardware. Need to have a basic understanding of audio visual devices and principles. Need to know how to connect to peripheral displays and devices. Attention to detail, good communication skills, problem solving skills, ability to work independently, punctuality and reliability are a must. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
