System Engineer (Antwerp and Flemish Brabant)

Ad hoc interventions

• Performing quick and targeted interventions for customers (e.g., replacing and configuring switches and firewalls)
• Resolving Urgent Malfunctions and Technical Incidents
• Ensure prompt feedback and documentation afterward

Project-based assignments

• One or more days at the same client’s site for larger projects
• Installing and replacing multiple workstations (for example, 10 or more PCs)
• Upgrading and configuring complete installations of switches and network equipment
• Support for the setup and renovation of server rooms
• Work closely with one of our in-house specialized Competence Centers on larger projects (Cloud, Modern Workplace, Networking)

Advisory role

• Engage with customers to identify their IT needs
• Identifying areas for improvement and recommending solutions from a bird’s-eye view
• Helping customers strategically align their IT infrastructure with their business objectives

General Responsibilities

• Serve as the point of contact for customers’ technical questions
• Documenting and reporting on interventions and project results
• Proactively contribute to knowledge sharing and collaboration within the team
• Contributing ideas on innovation and the further professionalization of IT services

Technical knowledge

• Extensive knowledge of IT infrastructure and network technologies
• Experience with switching, firewalls, and migrations
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft technologies and Azure
• Experience with HP and Dell hardware
• A relevant firewall certification (or a willingness to obtain one)

Experience

• Several years of work experience in a service provider environment
• Experience with both ad hoc interventions and project-based assignments
• Strong familiarity with a Modern Workplace, Hybrid Cloud, or Security team is a plus!

Language Skills

• Dutch: excellent command of spoken and written Dutch
• English: suitable for professional use with clients and in documentation
• French: a nice bonus

Personal Skills

• Be able to work independently and take responsibility
• Maturity and a professional demeanor during client visits
• Strong administrative skills for documenting client environments
• Basic knowledge of project management to approach interventions in a structured manner
• Strong communication skills: You can clearly explain complex IT issues
• Flexible mindset and problem-solving skills
