INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (BAND A) - NETWORK ANALYST - OAHU

Leads network projects by recommending solutions to network strategy and security issues. Develops detailed network specifications. Performs network analysis and capacity planning. Develops and recommends approaches to network growth and enhancements. Develops processes and procedures for network operations. Provides network performance monitoring and analysis. Supports installation and maintenance of server hardware and software. Assists in the maintenance of all data center equipment.

Entry Level: Receives on-the-job training in the principles, concepts, work processes, methods and techniques fundamental to the Network Analyst series. Assignments range from the simple to moderately complex, and are selected and designed to develop the employee for progression to the Independent Worker level.

Independent Worker Level: Performs moderately complex professional work in accordance with established policies, guideline, and procedures. Do you have experience in Writing skills?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Four (4) years of progressively responsible administrative, professional or analytical work experience that provided the competencies described below; or

• Graduation from an accredited four (4) year college or university with a bachelor’s degree; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and education.

Specialized Experience: Zero (0) to two (2) years of Information Technology (IT) work experience which included professional work experience in the Network Analysis Specialty area; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.

Job Related Competencies Required: Depending upon the level you are interested in and being considered for, applicants must possess experience and/or training which demonstrates a basic understanding of at least some of the following competencies: Customer Focus, Initiative, Reading, Writing, Oral Communication, Decision Making, Problem Solving, Reasoning, Information Management, Interpersonal Skills, and Technical Competence.
