Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Field Audio Installation Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional audiovisual experiences across diverse client sites. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining a wide range of AV systems, including audio, video, control, and telecommunication solutions. Your expertise will ensure seamless integration of complex systems in live events, corporate environments, educational facilities, and more. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge AV projects while providing outstanding customer service and technical support., * Install and configure audiovisual systems such as audio reinforcement, video conferencing setups, digital signal processing equipment, and control systems according to engineering schematics and blueprints.

  • Perform wiring, cabling, and mechanical assembly of AV equipment in various environments while adhering to safety standards and electrical codes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AV system operation, including software glitches, hardware failures, network connectivity problems, and control system malfunctions.
  • Read electrical schematics and blueprints to accurately implement system designs and modifications during installation or maintenance projects.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on installed AV systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, provide technical guidance, and deliver exceptional customer service throughout project execution.
  • Support live event AV production projects by setting up equipment, managing signal flow, and troubleshooting on-site issues promptly.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems including E & I (Electrical & Instrumentation), low voltage wiring, and telecommunication infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in computer networking principles relevant to AV systems operation and control networks.
  • Experience with control system programming for audiovisual integration and automation.
  • Skilled in equipment troubleshooting across a broad range of AV hardware such as audio systems, video conferencing units, digital signal processors, and control interfaces.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams accurately.
  • Familiarity with digital signal processing techniques used in audio enhancement and system calibration.
  • Hands-on experience with AV system installation in commercial or live event settings using hand tools and mechanical knowledge.
  • Knowledge of software troubleshooting for AV control platforms and digital media management tools.
  • Experience working in the AV industry with a focus on engineering troubleshooting, implementing audio/video systems, maintenance routines, cabling practices, and live event support.
  • Excellent customer service skills combined with technical expertise to ensure client satisfaction during project delivery.
