Network Engineer

About the job Network Engineer (100% Remote contract- Cisco, routing, Python) My client, in partnership with an industry leader, is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join their team. This engineer will have a strong routing/switching background as well as have some hands-on network automation and scripting experience. They will help to support large scale networks across an enterprise organization. Responsibilities: * Setting up and configuring routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF * Utilizing Cisco Equipment for routing/switching and troubleshooting * Experience with firewall rules and policies, maintenance troubleshooting * Utilizing Python for network automation and process automation * Using virtualized network infrastructure across multiple platforms like Cisco OS and Juniper Apply today if your background includes: * Strong routing protocol knowledge and experience- configuring BGP, OSPF, etc. * Cisco route, switch, and configuration experience * Experience using Python or another scripting language for network automation * Significant network troubleshooting background across large scale networks * Experience communicating cross functionally with various teams and business units * Ability to work a long-term contract on a remote basis
