Job description

Grow with our team as a Network Engineer at Furniture Mart USA in Sioux Falls, SD! This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated individual to grow their career in IT. Make a difference by providing daily IT support to our internal users.

  • Full-Time: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
  • .Design, configure, and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and other networking systems.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
  • Implement and manage network security protocols to protect sensitive data.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to integrate new technologies and improve existing systems.
  • Create and maintain network documentation, including diagrams and configuration files.
  • Conduct regular network assessments and capacity planning to accommodate growth.
  • Provide technical support and training to staff on network-related issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure continuous improvement of the network infrastructure.
  • Assist in the development of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF).
  • Experience with network hardware (CISCO, Fortinet).
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools.
  • Understanding of network security best practices and technologies (e.g., VPNs, IDS/IPS).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+, Fortinet FCSS, FCP or FCX) are a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
