Job description

Responsible for the strategic administration, design, and security of the agency’s network architecture, computer systems, mobile devices, software solutions, and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software. This role exercises independent judgment and discretion to analyze operational needs, architect technical solutions, and manage critical vendor infrastructure to support HospiceCare’s mission. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience including 1 year of networking experience; 1 year of server administration experience or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Contingent upon successful completion of drug screen, background check, and other screenings as applicable.

Work Environment:

  • Primarily indoor office or healthcare setting
  • Prolonged use of computers, multiple monitors, and telephones
  • Moderate noise level typical of an office or healthcare environment
  • Frequent interaction with employees, vendors, and third-party technology support providers
  • Climate-controlled environment
  • Travel: Will require occasional in-state travel, after-hours, and on-call work on an as-needed basis

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods (6-8 hours per day)
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, operating computers, and handling technical equipment.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching while installing or servicing computer equipment.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move computers, monitors, printers, and other equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Visual acuity to read computer screens, technical documentation, and equipment labels.
  • Ability to distinguish colors when working with network cables, wiring, or equipment indicators, as applicable.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, email, and other electronic communication methods.
