Data Center Operations Advisor (Remote Contract)

SGF Global is seeking an experienced Data Center Operations Advisor to support a leading organization in the energy sector. This fully remote contract position is ideal for a senior data center operations professional with extensive experience managing large-scale data center facilities and advising on engineering, operations, and infrastructure design.

In this role, you will provide technical expertise to research and development initiatives, support product development, and help translate customer requirements into functional, scalable data center solutions., * Provide technical leadership and operational guidance for large-scale data center facilities.

• Advise engineering and product development teams on data center design, operations, and maintenance best practices.
• Review engineering plans, facility designs, and technical documentation.
• Conduct site visits, facility assessments, and inspections as needed.
• Evaluate customer requirements and translate them into functional design recommendations.
• Develop and improve engineering, maintenance, and operational procedures.
• Provide subject matter expertise in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems for mission-critical facilities.
• Support research and development initiatives focused on data center technologies and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to optimize reliability, efficiency, and operational performance.

• Extensive experience operating large-scale data center facilities in a leadership role.
• Proven experience developing engineering, maintenance, and operational procedures for data centers.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
• Experience reviewing engineering designs, construction plans, and technical specifications.
• Ability to conduct facility inspections and assess operational readiness.
• Strong understanding of mission-critical infrastructure and data center operations.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams., * Experience supporting research and development initiatives related to data center technologies.
• Background in hyperscale, enterprise, or colocation data center environments.
• Experience working with infrastructure design, commissioning, or operational consulting.
• Professional engineering certifications or relevant technical credentials are a plus., * Do you have extensive experience operating large-scale data center facilities in a leadership role?

$100 - $160 an hour - Full-time, Contract, * Competitive pay of up to $162.96 per hour.
